The UAE has conducted a new medical evacuation from Gaza, airlifting 119 patients and injured individuals, along with their family members, in coordination with the World Health Organisation.

The flight departed from Ramon Airport in Israel and the operation was coordinated via the Karam Abu Salem crossing.

This latest mission is part of a wider humanitarian initiative launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to provide treatment to 1,000 wounded Palestinian children and 1,000 cancer patients in UAE hospitals.

Since the start of the crisis, the UAE has evacuated 2,904 patients and their families from Gaza for urgent medical care.

Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organsations and Vice Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and ensuring rapid humanitarian response.

He highlighted the ongoing work with the WHO and other partners to provide critical treatment at hospitals across the UAE, as well as support services at Emirates Humanitarian City.

Medical aid also continues via a UAE hospital ship off the coast of El Arish and a field hospital operating in southern Gaza.
