The UAE humanitarian team in the Chadian city of Amdjarass has distributed 6000 Ramadan food baskets to Sudanese refugees and the local community in the city and surrounding villages.
It’s part of the UAE’s Ramadan campaign, which works alongside Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to alleviate the suffering of refugee families.
The UAE humanitarian team has also distributed 7,500 school bags to Sudanese refugee students, provided by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
Additionally, they distributed five tonnes of Ramadan dates to the residents of the Oure Cassoni camp and provided 50 solar-powered lighting units to illuminate the camp's roads and its five schools.
