The UAE has condemned Israeli forces' resumption of excavation and bulldozing operations, as well as the construction of fortifications, in Syrian territory in the area referred to as the 'Sufa 53 line'.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its rejection of any violation of Syria’s sovereignty or any actions that threaten its security and stability.
The Ministry said continued Israeli attacks on Syrian territory constitute a violation of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement between Syria and Israel, which it said must be upheld.
The UAE also reaffirmed its support for Syria’s stability and territorial integrity, expressing solidarity with the Syrian people and backing efforts aimed at achieving security, peace and development.
The Ministry called on the international community to take immediate action to halt further attacks on Syrian territory and prevent escalation that could increase regional tensions and threaten peace and security.
