Flydubai has cancelled its flights to Bangladesh due to the civil unrest in the country.

In a statement shared with ARN News, the airline said that its flights to Dhaka (DAC) and Chattogram (CGP) have been cancelled until August 7.

"We continue to monitor the situation closely. We are in touch with our passengers regarding their rebooking or refund options. Passengers are advised to regularly check Flight Status on flydubai.com for the latest information regarding their flights," the statement added.

Emirates Airline had earlier announced the cancellation of its flights to/from Dhaka on August 5 and August 6.

It also said that customers connecting on flights to Dhaka on August 6 will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin.

The airline has advised passengers who have booked with travel agents to contact them for alternative arrangements, while customers who have booked directly with Emirates may contact their local office for rebooking options.

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways discontinued its Dhaka services in October 2023.
