The UAE's National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) says a surface low-pressure system will affect the country from December 13 to 19, bringing periods of instability.
From Saturday through Monday, expect partly cloudy skies with chances of light to moderate rain, which could turn heavy in some coastal and northern areas.
Conditions are set to intensify from Tuesday to Friday as an upper-level low-pressure system deepens, bringing cooler air, more cloud cover, and rainfall of varying intensity.
Thunderstorms, lightning and even hail are possible in some regions.
Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly, becoming strong at times and causing blowing dust and reduced visibility.
Seas will range from slight to moderate, turning rough during cloud activity in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
