UAE air defences, on Saturday, responded to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, according to alerts from the UAE Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
The MOD confirmed the sounds heard were the result of interceptions by their air defence systems.
The alerts, issued around 10:00 a.m., requested the public to remain in a safe location and follow official channels for warnings and updates.
The all clear came through shortly after 10:30 a.m.
