The UAE has expressed hope that Algeria’s decision to sever diplomatic relations will be temporary, while reaffirming its commitment to strong relations with all countries.
In a statement, the UAE said it remains committed to developing ties based on shared interests, understanding, cooperation and prosperity.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reaffirmed the UAE’s appreciation for the Algerian people and highlighted the longstanding bonds between the two communities.
It said these ties are reflected in the Algerian community living in the UAE, as well as Algerian visitors to the country.
The UAE said it remains committed to preserving and strengthening these ties and shared interests.
