Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio have emphasised the need for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan during a phone call.
They said it is crucial to delivering humanitarian aid to civilians.
Sheikh Abdullah also welcomed US President Donald Trump's call for "an end to the horrific atrocities committed against civilians during the civil war" in Sudan, national news agency Wam reported.
The two sides also reviewed the ongoing developments in the Gaza Strip, with Sheikh Abdullah reiterating the UAE's support for Trump's comprehensive peace plan to end the conflict.
Talks also focused on "strategic relations between the UAE and US", with both sides exploring "ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors".
Sheikh Abdullah also highlighted that the US decision to authorise the export of advanced AI semiconductors to G42 as a testimony of strong ties between the countries.
