The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended entry for the purpose of Umrah and visiting the Prophet's mosque.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), this comes as a precautionary measure amidst fears over COVID-19.
They have also clarified that tourists coming from countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus will not be granted entry.
GCC nationals will not be able to use their national identity cards to travel to and from Saudi Arabia for the time being, in order for concerned authorities to carry out the necessary health screenings and precautionary measures at assigned entry points.
