Abu Dhabi eases entry rules for vaccinated people

Abu Dhabi has eased its rules for vaccinated individuals entering the emirate from within the UAE.

The changes that come into effect on Friday, August 20 are applicable to vaccinated citizens, residents and visitors.

  • According to the updated procedures, fully vaccinated people and participants in a clinical trial can enter Abu Dhabi if they have a green pass and an active E or star icon on Alhosn app.
  • No further testing after entering Abu Dhabi will be required if they continue to stay in the emirate.
  • A PCR test is required for the E/star icon to come up, and it remains active for 7 days.

Meanwhile, the procedures for unvaccinated individuals to enter Abu Dhabi remains the same.

They will require a negative PCR test result (48 hours) or a DPI test result (24 hours), as well as multiple additional tests if remaining in the emirate.
