New targets which require developers to include a proportion of affordable housing on all new developments in Abu Dhabi have taken a step forward. It’s after the capital’s Urban Planning Council signed an agreement with 19 developers to record information on new projects. Officials in Abu Dhabi want to introduce a quota of 20% affordable housing in new developments, potentially by the end of this year.
