The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) has announced plans to organise a series of New Year’s Eve celebrations for workers across the UAE, under the theme "Happy Workers, Thriving Business".

The initiative, which aims to celebrate the invaluable contributions of workers to the nation's growth, will be held in collaboration with several key federal, local, and private sector partners.

The events will take place in various emirates and feature entertainment, competitions, and prizes, creating a festive atmosphere in labour accommodations.

Companies wishing to involve their employees in the celebrations can register via the event’s official website, ensureeventsnye.com.

MOHRE's efforts are supported by a broad coalition of government and private sector entities, including the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, the Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah General Commands, as well as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai. Additionally, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, the Civil Defence Authorities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and various municipalities will contribute to the success of the events.

The celebrations will take place in multiple labour accommodations managed by companies like Al Eskan Al Jamae, Emirates Global Aluminum, Fujairah National Construction & Transport Co., Tasameem Workers City, Al Salam Living City, and more. These venues will host a range of festive activities designed to bring joy to workers from different sectors.

The events are generously backed by sponsors such as Aldar Properties and the Insurance Pool, alongside key strategic partners including the UAE Food Bank, Al Ihsan Charity Association, and Dubai Charity Association.

Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, emphasised that the initiative reflects the ministry’s ongoing commitment to recognizing the essential role of workers in the UAE’s development across various industries. He added that the celebrations aim to foster a sense of community and appreciation, particularly on significant national and religious occasions.

This New Year's Eve event builds on MOHRE’s tradition of organising similar celebrations on major occasions, such as Eid Al Etihad, to engage and uplift the workforce.

Earlier this month, in cooperation with its federal and local partners, MOHRE also organised a series of events to mark the UAE’s 53rd Eid Al Etihad.

The New Year’s Eve celebrations are expected to bring together thousands of workers from various sectors, reinforcing the UAE's ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, vibrant, and supportive work environment for its diverse workforce.
