A young man has run into trouble for insulting and threatening police.

Dubai Police took immediate action after he posted a video of himself using foul language against policemen.

As per Article 20 of the UAE Cybercrime Law, anyone who uses an electronic medium to insult others can be punished with a jail term or fined between AED 250,000 and AED 500,000.

"Insult or slander against public employees is considered an aggravating circumstance of the crime," said Dubai Police.
