KHDA: Schools free to make own distance learning decisions

Private schools in Dubai are allowed to move a class, grade/year level or all pupils to distance learning for a 48-hour period without prior approval.

That's according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), which says on its website it trusts individual schools to make their own decisions to protect the health and safety of students and staff at all times.

The KHDA adds that the wellbeing of the Dubai education community continues to be a priority.

The private education regulator also states that updates on safety protocols will be sent to school leaders, posted on its social media channels and shared as FAQs on its website.
