UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written message from Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, relating to bilateral relations between the two countries.

The message was received by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the impact of the recent Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and several countries in the region, and the wider implications for international shipping, energy supplies, the global economy, and regional and international security.

Kosherbayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures taken to protect the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens, residents and visitors.

Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the visit of the Kazakh Foreign Minister, saying it reflected the strength of relations between the two countries and Kazakhstan’s clear support for the UAE following the attacks.

The discussions also covered wider regional developments, including the ceasefire announced by US President Donald Trump between the United States and Iran, and efforts to support lasting peace and stability in the region.

Both sides also reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation across a range of sectors, with Sheikh Abdullah reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to deepening ties with Kazakhstan in support of shared development and long-term prosperity.

The meeting was also attended by senior UAE officials including Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State.
