Authorities in Dubai have prevented more than 413,000 illegal Captagon pills from entering the UAE.
The shipment, which amounted to more than AED 2 million worth of drugs, was being closely tracked since its departure from an Asian port.
It was seized at the Jebel Ali and Tecom Customs Centre after cooperation between various customs departments.
Authorities say the alertness of inspection officers coupled with the use of new technology led to the seizure of the pills.
