Yemeni and Saudi-led Arab coalition forces are using air and ground support to advance into Taiz in a bid to liberate the city. However, military sources are saying the forces are being slowed down by landmines planted by Houthi rebels. Troops are now working hard to destroy anti-personnel and anti-tank mines. Four Houthi rebels have been killed and two others were captured after an ambush by loyalists. This comes as the Human Rights Watch last week slammed the Houthis' use of landmines in the conflict. The re-capture of Taiz and other nearby provinces is crucial to Yemen, as it will lead to the liberation of the rebel-held capital, Sana’a.
