As many as 650 prisoners have been pardoned in Dubai ahead of Eid Al Adha.
Their release was ordered by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The Dubai Public Prosecution, in collaboration with Dubai Police, has started the legal procedures to implement the directive.
Essam Issa Al-Humaidan, Attorney General of Dubai said that Sheikh Mohammed’s decision to pardon the inmates of different nationalities reflects his keenness to bring happiness to their families and give them an opportunity to reintegrate into society.
