His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched a Ramadan campaign to save 5 million children under the age of 5 from "death due to malnutrition and hunger".
In a video post shared on social media X, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that more than 118 million children suffered from malnutrition in 2025, with 2.6 million dying from starvation.
"It is neither our trait nor our values to hear of such a human tragedy unfolding before the eyes of the world and do nothing about it," he noted.
The campaign aims to collaborate with several international organisations to raise at least AED1 billion locally and internationally.
