H.H. Sheikh Mohammed hails UAE-China ties in meeting with Chinese official

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, held talks with Chen Miner, a key member of the Chinese Politburo and Communist Party Secretary of Tianjin.

During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the strong and diverse ties between the UAE and China. He emphasised their commitment to deepening their strategic partnership across political, economic, cultural and developmental areas.

Sheikh Mohammed also noted the continuous growth in UAE-China relations under the leadership of the UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The discussion focused on boosting bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, with China being the UAE's top global trading partner.

They explored opportunities within the Belt and Road Initiative, underscoring the UAE's strategic role and its growing importance as a major trading hub. The two sides also examined ways to expand cooperation in investment, industry, technology and clean energy.

Additionally, the meeting covered global developments, especially in the Middle East, and stressed the need for intensified efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
