UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has reinforced the importance of dialogue to support stability and peace in the region during talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg.
His Highness reiterated the UAE’s position for a negotiated political solution to the crisis in Ukraine.
Sheikh Mohamed stressed the need to accelerate efforts to mitigate the humanitarian repercussions of the crisis and support prisoner-exchange initiatives on both sides.
The two leaders discussed the longstanding relations and the need to enhance bilateral relations.
Sheikh Mohamed's working visit to St. Petersburg is part of the UAE’s continuous efforts to foster positive partnerships to ensure regional and international security and stability.
