On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has landed in Baku to attend Azerbaijan’s Victory Day celebrations.
Sheikh Hamdan, who also holds the positions of the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, was welcomed by Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, upon landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Sheikh Hamdan is leading a high-level delegation at the celebrations, which will be attended by a number of world leaders and heads of states, national news agency Wam reported.
Victory Day is marked on November 8 every year to commemorate Azerbaijan’s victory in the 44-day Second Karabakh War in 2020 against Armenia, allowing it to regain control over territories that were occupied since the early 1990s.
