Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has stepped up arrangements to help repatriate stranded foreign nationals who wish to return to their countries.

It’s taking all precautionary measures recommended by health authorities to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.

Special glass barriers have been installed at immigration counters at Dubai Airports, while thermal cameras have been set up to monitor passengers’ temperature before they reach the counter.

The GDRFA is also working closely with diplomatic missions to facilitate the travel process.

It has thanked the the Consulate of India in Dubai for helping expedite the repatriation process of Indian nationals.

"The cooperation reflects the strong historical ties between the UAE and India," the GDRFA said in a statement.
