First batch UAE armed forces passes on baton to second batch in Yemen

The first batch of UAE Armed Forces, which arrived home today, has handed over their responsibilities to the second batch, now stationed in Yemen. It’s part of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition, participating in Operation Restoring Hope, fighting to support legitimacy in Yemen. The first batch of Emirati soldiers helped liberate Marib from the hands of Houthi militias and their allies. Mareb, is home to the ancient landmark, the Mareb Dam, which was re-built by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
