In response to the recent unprecedented weather in the UAE, Virgin Radio Dubai has teamed up with Al Habtoor Motors to help those in need.
The collaboration aims to address the challenges faced by many UAE residents who have been impacted by the record rains.
Speaking to ARN News, Kris Fade, host of The Kris Fade Show on Virgin Radio 104.4, expressed the importance of this initiative, stating, "There are a lot of people across the country who can’t afford to get their car back, or the insurance won’t cover their claims."
He emphasised the significance of "Dubai Gives Back", an initiative aimed at identifying individuals truly in need of a new car due to flood-related losses.
A committee of nine people will meticulously review applications with photographs, videos and look at the family situation and circumstances to ensure that the cars are allocated to those most deserving.
The distribution of cars will take place daily over the next two weeks, with Fade saying, "Within just the initial hour, we received over 150 entries. One family shared their story - the father recently lost his job, their car was swept away in the flood, insurance claims were denied, and now their children are left with no choice but to walk to school. These are the people we aim to support."
For individuals seeking assistance or wishing to nominate someone in need, details can be found on the Virgin Radio Dubai website. Tune in to The Kris Fade Show every morning on Virgin Radio 104.4.
