Dubai Police launched a community initiative focused on enhancing worker safety and well-being on Friday to mark International Workers’ Day, with a particular emphasis on preventive measures during the summer season.

Organised by the General Department of Human Rights, the event brought together around 400 workers from Abu Al Naja Group as participants took part in recreational activities and competitions while also receiving gifts, refreshments and light meals.

Within the session, there was a specialised awareness session addressing heat stress prevention, providing practical guidance on health and safety measures, particularly for workers in outdoor environments, reinforcing the importance of precautionary practices during high temperatures.

Participants were also introduced to Dubai Police initiatives and services, including the “Worker’s Voice” initiative, along with communication channels that strengthen engagement with entities concerned with labour affairs, contributing to safer and more stable working conditions.

Dubai Police emphasised that the initiative reflects their commitment, together with strategic partners, to promoting social responsibility and improving the quality of life for workers in appreciation of their vital role in society and to the UAE's growth and development.
