Dubai non-oil foreign trade hits AED 652 billion in H1 2015

NULL

Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade hit AED 652 billion during the first half of 2015, according to figures released by Dubai Customs. Imports accounted for AED 402 billion, while exports and re-exports totalled AED 250 billion. Phones represented 15% of the city’s overall foreign trade, with a value of AED 95 billion, while AED 35 million worth of vehicles were traded during the period. China remains Dubai’s top trading partner, followed by India and the US. Officials say the numbers reflect the emirate’s ability to withstand the effects of turmoil across global markets caused by lower oil prices.
