Dubai launches app to report economic crimes

FILE

The Economic Security Centre of Dubai launched an application for the public to report economic crimes, including forgery, embezzlement, and financing illegal organisations.

Reports may be submitted anonymously, should be accompanied by evidence, if available, and will then be investigated by the relevant authorities.

The Executive Director of the Dubai Economic Security Centre, Faisal bin Sulaitin, aims to enhance community participation in combating these crimes and is an addition to the efforts made to strengthen and consolidate the economic security system, in cooperation with the various agencies concerned with protecting Dubai’s economy and ensuring its safety at all times and under various circumstances.

The launch of the application comes as part of the continuous development efforts undertaken by the Dubai Economic Security Centre, to keep up with the surrounding developments and follow a proactive approach that tackles economic crimes before they occur.
