Dubai enhances bus network with new routes, service improvements

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce three new public bus routes from November 29, including Route 108, which will connect Satwa Bus Station directly to Global Village.

Route 108 will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during special events, with service running from 2:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Buses will run every 60 minutes, with 11 trips in each direction.

In addition to 108, two other new routes will launch: Route F63, a metro feeder service linking Al Ras Metro Station to Union Bus Station via Al Khaleej Street and Naif Street, and Route J05, which will connect Mira Community to Dubai Studio City, passing through Neshama Townhouses.

The RTA is also making adjustments to several existing routes to improve daily commutes:

  • Route 5 will now operate between Abu Hail and Union Bus Stations, no longer serving Al Ras Metro Station.
  • Route 14 will be re-routed to operate in both directions, terminating at Business Bay Metro Station.
  • Route 33 will be shortened, ending at Karama Bus Station instead of Al Ghubaiba.
  • Other service upgrades include Route 91, which will now serve Business Bay in the direction of Jebel Ali and include a stop at DMCC in both directions.
  • Route J02 will be shortened for faster commutes between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Production City, and Route J04 will add stops in Sports City while reducing those in Dubai Studio City.
  • Route F38 will be adjusted to serve Al Jurf Heights Group, while Route F39 will be adjusted to include Etihad Mall, and Route X92 will be modified to serve DMCC Metro Stop en route to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station and reduce stops at Dubai Investment Park.

Improvements will be made to 30 bus routes, optimizing travel times and connections: 7, 13D, 14, 20A, 21A, 21B, 30, 32C, 33, 34, 43, 44, 63E, 67, 91, DH1, E700, F05, F07, F26, F23, F38, F39, F54, F63, J01, J02, J04, J05, and X92

The RTA said it is committed to expanding the public bus network and improving integration with other transport options like the metro, tram and marine services, making public transport a more convenient choice for getting around Dubai.
