Dubai's Events Security Committee has announced the completion of its preparations for Eid Al-Adha.

A comprehensive plan has been put in place for government departments and police centres to ensure safe and secure celebrations during the holiday period.

This includes securing mosques and large grounds where Eid prayers are held, stepping up patrols along major streets and enhancing security measures in tourist spots, shopping centres, open markets and other busy areas.

As many as 3,500 policemen, 465 security patrols, 66 traffic sergeants, 14 maritime security boats, 10 marine rescue boats, 17 land rescue patrols, 2 helicopters, 29 bicycle patrols and 165 beach lifeguards are involved in the security operations.

In addition, 738 paramedics, 123 ambulances, 75 civil defence vehicles, 24 small cranes, 2 CBRN responder vehicles and 798 private security staff will also be deployed.

The authorities urged the public to call 901 for non-emergency cases and to dial 999 only for emergency purposes.
