UAE travellers now have access to a new webpage that lists out the latest COVID-19-related travel guidelines.
From verifying if certain countries are open to tourists, to country-specific quarantine rules to helping travellers book flight tickets, the website -launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) - aims to help UAE citizens travel safely during the pandemic.
It will also feature country-specific entry requirements, as well as the categories of people allowed to travel, relevant procedures, and tests required before travel.
Emirati travellers must also register for the "Tawajudi" service through MOFAIC’s website or app to ensure they receive assistance in case of an emergency.
And, in case a citizen contracts COVID-19 while abroad, they will need to contact the nearest UAE diplomatic mission or call 0097180044444 so that they can provide them access to hospitals and quarantine facilities.
The ministry also stressed that Emirati citizens returning to the UAE must show a negative PCR test, with a 96-hour validity, and must comply with guidelines in place upon arrival.
