All permits for Ramadan tents in Abu Dhabi have been cancelled.
In a post on Twitter, the Department of Municipalities and Transport Abu Dhabi said the move is in line with the procedures issued by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority to activate preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman have issued similar bans during the Holy Month to combat the spread of the virus.
