Abu Dhabi Police to ban heavy trucks on roads during Ramadan peak hours

Abu Dhabi Police

Heavy-duty trucks, lorries and busses carrying more than 50 passengers will be banned from driving on Abu Dhabi roads during peak hours in Ramadan.

According to the capital’s police force, they will not be allowed on the roads between 8:00 am and 10:00 am and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm throughout the month-long fasting period.

Police officials have urged drivers of heavy vehicles to adhere to these new guidelines in order to help make the emirate’s roads safer during the holy month.
