His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has reviewed final preparations for the Zayed National Museum, ahead of its official opening this December in the Saadiyat Cultural District.
Sheikh Khaled toured the museum’s permanent galleries, which trace the UAE’s national journey and celebrate the vision and values of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, including environmental stewardship, cultural tolerance and humanitarian work.
Sheikh Khaled said the museum reflects the UAE’s commitment to investing in culture as a key pillar of sustainable development and a source of inspiration for future generations.
During the visit, His Highness also met Emirati talent leading the project and praised their efforts in delivering a world-class cultural destination.
Once open, the museum will feature six permanent galleries across two floors, spanning 300,000 years of history, along with a temporary exhibition space and Al Masar Garden — a 600-metre outdoor garden.
The museum’s collection will showcase archaeological artefacts and historic objects that trace the earliest evidence of human inhabitation of the UAE’s land.
It will also explore civilisations, highlight connections through trade routes and celebrate the distinctive elements of Emirati culture and heritage.
