The UAE crushed Iran by 10 wickets in cricket’s ACC Western Region T20 in Muscat.
They won the opening group B match with 87 balls remaining.
Team UAE restricted their opponents to 61-8 in 20 overs and then reached the target in just 5.3 overs.
Rohan Mustafa struck an unbeaten 41 (18 balls) and also took two wickets, conceding only six runs.
Thirteen teams are competing in the tournament, which is part of the qualification process for the 2020 Asia Cup.
