The Dubai Racing Carnival got underway on Friday evening at Meydan Racecourse, featuring over 70 horses across seven races with a total prize purse of AED 1.33 million.

The 2025–26 calendar is lined with marquee dates, including Festive Friday (December 19), Fashion Friday (January 22) and Emirates Super Saturday (February 28).

Spanning 17 race meetings, the season reaches its conclusion on March 28, 2026 with the 30th running of the Dubai World Cup.

It will mark a historic milestone in 2026, celebrating three decades since its inaugural race in 1996.

Speaking to Chris McHardy on Dubai Eye 103.8's The Score, Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, said the Dubai World Cup has firmly established itself as one of the world’s premier sporting and social spectacles, as reflected in its impressive figures over the years.
