Australia broke Scottish hearts in the last minute of their quarter-final meeting on Sunday night, winning 35-34. Scotland had taken the lead with just seven minutes remaining thanks to Mark Bennett’s interception try, one of eight in an exhilarating match However, Bernard Foley converted a late, controversial penalty, awarded for deliberate offside despite replays showing the ball coming off an Australian player, to give the Wallabies the victory. In the semi-final they’ll face Argentina, who stunned Ireland with a 43-20 win. The Puma’s stormed to a 17-0 lead in just 13 minutes thanks to brilliant tries from Matias Moroni and Juan Imhoff.
