World number three Roger Federer is into the semi-finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne. The 34-year-old, chasing an 18th Grand Slam, beat the Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych 7-6, 6-2, 6-4. Federer now awaits the winner of the match between world number one Novak Djokovic and seventh seed Kei Nishikori. The Swiss star says he’s confident about winning another major title.
