Gary Cahill levelled things ten minutes into the second period, but Andy Carroll’s late header secured another impressive win for the Hammers. Meanwhile, Arsenal moved to the top of the EPL with a 2-1 over Everton at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners scored two goals in two minutes, both headers from Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud.Ross Barkley soon pulled one back, his left-foot effort deflecting past Petr Cech on the stroke of half-time, but the Blues were unable to rescue a point, and saw Gareth Barry dismissed in stoppage time.
