The Kansas City Royals have won the longest ever opener in a World Series. They beat the New York Mets 5-4, after Eric Hosmer's sacrifice fly allowed Alcides Escobar to get the winning run in the 14th. It completed a come-from-behind win for the Royals, after they trailed 3-1 in an epic ballgame. Game two takes place on Thursday morning.
