India thrash Sri Lanka by 9 wickets

India's players celebrate the dismissal of Aaron Finch of Australia during the first Twenty20 cricket international between India and Australia at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide on January 26, 2016.

India thrashed Sri Lanka by 9 wickets in the decider of the three-match T20 International series in Visakhapatnam in south India. Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni asked the opposition to bat yesterday, as India chased down a paltry target of 83 with 37 balls to spare. Man of the match and series, Ravichandran Ashwin, got career-best figures in T20s - 4-8. The series win also helped India retain its No. 1 position in the ICC T20 rankings.
