ICC shifts India-Pakistan T20 venue over security concerns

Pakistan's Wahab Riaz plays a shot during the match against India at the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on February 27, 2016

The venue for the World Twenty20 match between India and Pakistan on March 19 has been shifted due to security concerns. It’ll now be played in Kolkata, instead of Dharamsala. The International Cricket Council (ICC) made a formal announcement at a hurriedly convened press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday. However, Pakistan's cricket board is still awaiting an assurance from the Indian government, before sending its teams. Both the men’s and women’s squads of Pakistan had yesterday delayed their travel to India.
