Drivers may want to avoid the DIFC this evening as the area will be transformed into an urban running track for the Dubai leg of a global charity event. Corporate teams, comprising of 10 relay runners each, will compete to clock the fastest time around a one-mile route in a bid to be crowned winners of the first Bloomberg Square Mile Relay race in the emirate. The race will be ultra competitive with companies such as HSBC, Standard Chartered and Dubai Airports competing for victory and a AED 30,000 cheque to donate to charity. Among the athletes trying to channel their inner Usain Bolt, you may even catch a glimpse of ARN's elite runners including Business Breakfast producers Desley Humpfrey and Vasti Kahn.
