England prop Marler dropped to bench for France clash

Teammate Chris Robshaw hugs Joe Marler after their Six Nations win over Wales

England prop Joe Marler has been dropped to the bench for their crunch clash with France on Saturday. He’s replaced in the starting fifteen by Mako Vunipola as England chase a Six Nations grand slam in Paris. Despite escaping punishment for verbally abusing Wales prop Samson Lee and striking Rob Evans, Marler will still feature as a substitute. Scrum-half Ben Youngs will also drop to the bench in favour of Danny Care. England are already champions after Scotland’s victory over France last week, but will complete a white wash if they can beat the French in their final game. Kick-off is at midnight UAE time on Saturday.
