Emirates Cricket Board cancels matches after player tests positive for COVID-19

Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the cancellation of Match 1 and Match 3 of the Emirates D20 tournament.

The matches, scheduled for December 16, have been cancelled after one of the players has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Cricket Board said in a statement that Sharjah and Ajman will each be awarded the winning allocation of 3 points.

The player is currently safe and being treated in accordance with ECB tournament protocols.
