Bangladesh clinched their maiden Under-19 Cricket World Cup title, beating India by three wickets.

They chased down the revised target of 170 (from 46 overs) with 23 balls to spare in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

The match was decided under the Duckworth-Lewis method after a brief spell of rain forced the players to leave the field.

Batting first, heavyweights India managed to score just 177 in 47.2 overs.

In reply, Bangladesh slumped to 102-6 but captain Akbar Ali (43 not out) kept his calm to lead his team to a stunning win.

It’s Bangladesh's first World Cup at any level.
