Arsenal is expected to name Mikel Arteta as its new manager on Friday, once final contract details are agreed between the two sides.
This would mean that the 37-year-old Spaniard will take charge of the squad after the Premier League game against Everton tomorrow.
Arteta is expected to be in the stands at Goodison Park, when Freddie Ljungberg ends his term as interim boss.
