Strong earthquake rocks Afghanistan

An earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale struck Afganistan on Friday, with tremors felt in parts of India and Pakistan.

According to the Indian weather office, the earthquake originated near the Hindu Kush mountains 246 km north of Kabul at 5:09 pm (local time) at a depth of 190km. 

The tremors were reportedly felt for nearly a minute in the Indian capital Delhi.

There are no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
