Saudi Arabia's Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman has discussed strategic defence cooperation and efforts to de-escalate regional tensions with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a phone call on Monday.
The two also discussed regional and international developments, including efforts to contain tensions in the region and the continued attacks by the Houthis on the kingdom.
Meanwhile, the Saudi coalition said it intercepted two drones targeting the Riyadh region on Monday night.
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia began in early October, targeting its airports, facilities, civilians, and civilian infrastructure.
