After weeks of speculation about Kim Jong-Un's whereabouts, the state media has published an image of the North Korean leader at a factory.

It's his first public appearance in three weeks.

According to the state news agency KCNA, Kim attended the completion of a fertiliser plant north of Pyongyang.

Images from the event show the leader smiling and talking to his aides as he took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The authenticity of the photos have still not been verified.

Speculation around Kim's health has been rife ever since he missed an important public event on April 15.

Some reports claimed he had fallen "terribly ill" after a cardiovascular surgery, while others suggested he was trying to avoid his exposure to the coronavirus.
